Pressure
An outside force that pushes you to act by making delay or refusal feel costly.
Example
Maya starts her assignment at 10pm because it is due at 9am. The deadline gets her moving, even though she would rather sleep.
How it fits in
Pressure can come from a deadline, a grade, an expectation, or another person. It can help you act quickly, but it does not show what you genuinely want. In a conversation, pressure may use guilt, urgency, exclusion, or embarrassment to make refusal uncomfortable. That differs from persuasion, which gives fair reasons and leaves room to choose.
