The feeling of being so absorbed in something that you forget what time it is.
Example
You start a drawing after dinner thinking it will take twenty minutes. You look up and it is past your bedtime and the drawing is almost finished. You did not notice an hour disappear. That is flow.
How it fits in
Flow happens when challenge meets skill at the right level. Too easy and you get bored. Too hard and you get stressed. Right in the middle, attention pulls you in without effort. The activities that put you in flow are one of the most reliable signals of what really energises you, which is why noticing them is part of finding your fuel.
