Breathing Reset
Slow breathing pulls your nervous system back from a stress spike faster than reasoning can.
Example
You feel your face heat up before answering a question in class. You breathe in for four counts, hold for four, breathe out for six, and repeat once. By the second round, your voice steadies and the answer arrives.
How it fits in
When stress rises, the body's response is faster than its reasoning. Slow breathing engages the parasympathetic system, which gives you back the few seconds of judgement you need to choose a different move. It does not solve the situation. It buys you the small window where you can.
