The one place you launch, chosen because it can put your offer in front of a real stranger this week.
Example
Dele has painted twelve skateboard decks and knows no skaters. Posting online might work in three months. Taking three decks to the skate park on Saturday puts them in front of skaters the same week.
How it fits in
Your strongest long-term channel is often a useless first channel. Word of mouth needs customers before it can move, and being findable in search takes months. A first channel has to pass three tests at once: the right people are already gathered there, it can produce a conversation this week, and you can do it without money or permission you do not have. This is why so many good businesses begin somewhere small and unglamorous.
