Value Proposition
A short, honest sentence that names who you help, what problem you solve, and why your way is better.
Example
'For Year 8 students who hate writing essays, our app turns their voice notes into a draft so they can edit instead of stare at a blank page, unlike a tutor who needs an appointment.' The whole offer in one line.
How it fits in
If a learner cannot say their value proposition in one sentence to a stranger, the idea is not yet sharp enough. A useful template is 'For [who] who struggles with [problem], we offer [product] so they can [benefit], unlike [alternative].' The first version is always rough. The third version usually starts to sing. The exercise of writing it forces the founder to choose.
